Our team reimagined and expanded The Home Depot’s open collaboration space on the main floor of the HQ Store Support Center (SSC). The 15,660 SF area introduces non-assigned workspaces, providing employees and independent contractors with flexible work options. This strategy not only supports varied work styles but also optimizes space usage by reducing the need for dedicated workstations for contractors who occasionally work on-site.

To further enhance employee wellness, we incorporated a secure outdoor patio, allowing convenient access to outdoor spaces without exiting the building. The design prioritizes comfort and flexibility, creating an environment that fosters productivity and collaboration.

The collaboration expansion is part of a broader effort to create a dynamic and adaptable working environment across the SSC campus, which spans three interconnected buildings. Future updates will focus on understanding employee preferences, with plans to expand the most popular workspace types campus-wide. By offering a diverse range of work environments, The Home Depot is setting a new standard for workplace flexibility and employee well-being.
