Mohegan Sun Pocono

NELSON Worldwide was responsible for the creation of two 2,650 SF bars that illustrate a dynamic casino environment with first-class amenities reflecting the Mohegan Sun brand while also celebrating the people, history, and natural resources of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Additionally, in 2022, NELSON Worldwide completed the renovation of guestrooms and suites. The client wanted a fresh, modern guestroom design that honors and celebrates their tribe’s history and natural affinity for nature. Drawing inspiration from the natural environment, the designs feature organic ripples in the carpet to mimic a stream and accent wallcovering behind the bed to evoke the feeling of sky and mountains.

The designs integrate two stylistically different venues into the established motif of the gaming floor and casino circulation concepts. The finished designs include “Breakers,” a Coyote Ugly-style country bar, and “Pearl,” an urban lounge experience featuring sushi and sake. We phased construction to ensure the casino remained operational during the renovation.
