We partnered with Clayton County, Georgia to create a comprehensive space that would engage residents of all ages. The result is the first intergenerational community center in the Atlanta area – and a new, innovative concept nationwide.
After spending numerous hours meeting with community stakeholders, studying the site, and discovering community programming needs, our team delivered an engaging multi-purpose facility to be used for years to come.
Surrounded by mature oaks, a spring-fed lake, and rich soil the outdoor areas offer countless activities for the community. Outside, there is a sports court, dog park, playground, pavilion, outdoor restrooms, two-mile walking trail, and more. Inside features a fitness center, classrooms, social gathering spaces, teaching kitchen, and Black Box Theater.
As the lead architect for the modern facility, our team designed spaces that meet a variety of needs for the community and encourage people of all ages to congregate in one central place to benefit and learn from each other.
