NELSON provided comprehensive interior renovation services for the first floor of the Woodruff Memorial Research Building at Emory University’s School of Medicine. Spanning approximately 14,000 square feet, the project focused on transforming a dated and compartmentalized space into a modern, functional environment that better supports the School of Medicine’s academic, administrative, and collaborative needs.

The renovated space now features updated offices for faculty and staff, an inviting break room, a fully equipped conference room, and a variety of flexible collaboration areas designed to foster communication and innovation across departments. The design team prioritized creating a balanced environment that supports both focused work and spontaneous interaction, using natural light, clean lines, and contemporary finishes to enhance comfort, functionality, and visual appeal.
