Broward Health was in need of a critical expansion to serve their surrounding community. Our team provided architectural design services for a multi-story bed tower addition, housing a mother/baby program, and medical/surgical patient rooms along with creating new main and maternity entrances.
Our solution efficiently accommodates a complex program within the new addition. New construction on the first floor totaled approximately 26,000 square feet and 5,000 square feet of renovation. The second floor is occupied by the relocated NICU and 28 new private post-partum rooms. The third floor will have a new medical/surgical wing, with 28 new patient rooms configured with a service core and rooms on the perimeter. The fourth floor is to be shelled with all the utilities in place for future development as a patient floor.
