Chattahoochee Technical College Building H Renovation
Reviving a campus landmark for the future
Following two years of vacancy due to extensive water damage, Chattahoochee Technical College turned to NELSON Worldwide—a trusted partner of 12 years—to breathe new life into its Marietta campus. The resulting 12,300 SF conference center beautifully balances spatial flexibility and modern technology. A light-filled lobby featuring warm wood accents welcomes visitors, leading to perimeter classrooms and offices tailored for instruction, study, and faculty collaboration.
At the heart of the project is a multi-functional conference hall accommodating up to 200 guests. Complete with upgraded audiovisual systems, the space seamlessly transitions from large lectures to small breakout rooms to support academic programs, community events, and fundraisers.
Practicality meets sustainability throughout the environment. New finishes and furnishings elevate the user experience, while a catering kitchen enhances daily usability. To minimize waste, the design integrates eco-friendly elements, including LED lighting, low-VOC materials, and reupholstered seating. What was once a damaged, unused facility is now a dynamic hub for connection, reinforcing Chattahoochee Tech’s commitment to its students, faculty, and the broader community.
