London Jewelers Luxury Watch Boutique – East Hampton

In the heart of East Hampton, we partnered with London Jewelers to transform a late-1800s landmark into one of the most distinguished boutiques in the world for this luxury watch brand, a project that seamlessly unites heritage, craftsmanship, and place.

Set within a former schoolhouse that later served as a Chanel boutique, the building came with history in its walls and the responsibility to protect it. As Architect of Record, our role extended far beyond documentation and construction oversight. We navigated a complex preservation and permitting process, stewarding the adaptive reuse of a beloved structure in one of the Hamptons’ most tightly regulated historic districts.

Inside, a lighter, more contemporary interior expression with carefully balanced stucco finishes and minimal wood tones allows the client’s product and brand precision to shine. To enhance hospitality, a new pantry and a custom dumbwaiter have been added, improving service flow during high-profile events and client appointments. Outside, the iconic wood-shingle façade was restored and treated to guarantee the Hamptons’ coastal aesthetic, while a new backyard deck extends the boutique experience and reinforces the store’s year-round presence.

Though the project carried significant technical complexity, it moved forward smoothly thanks to our team’s deep experience with both London Jewelers and the intricacies of high-end retail delivery. As long-term trusted partners, we brought a clear understanding of the client’s expectations, decision-making style, and operational priorities.

Today, this 5,000 SF boutique stands as a “new home for the luxury watch brand,” a rare freestanding location that blends East Hampton charm with the brand’s global legacy. The project has already been recognized by the Village Preservation Society of East Hampton for its exemplary preservation efforts, underscoring our commitment to protecting historic architecture while delivering luxury retail experiences.
