NELSON undertook site master planning to propel Blackhall’s Atlanta facility into its next phase of growth, embarking on the comprehensive design of the expansive 182-acre project. This initiative includes the construction of two grand bridges spanning the South River, set against a backdrop of lush landscapes. Central to the project’s ambition are sixteen state-of-the-art sound stages, collectively encompassing a sprawling 500,000 square feet of production space, poised to redefine industry standards. Complementing these stages is a substantial 420,000 square foot workshop support building, designed to facilitate seamless operations and innovation.

Additionally, the project incorporates a dedicated catering building to ensure the culinary needs of cast and crew are met with sophistication and efficiency. Two commanding three-story office buildings will serve as nerve centers for creativity and administration. A parking deck completes the ensemble, ensuring ample space for the bustling campus community. Spanning over 1.2 million square feet, this endeavor underscores NELSON’s commitment to shaping the future of film and media production. Upon completion, the campus will boast a 150% increase in sound stage capacity, solidifying its status as the largest production facility globally—an achievement that will resonate across the entertainment industry for years to come.
