We were challenged with creating a mixed-use destination for students and adjacent communities to work, live, and play on Xavier University’s campus in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Keying off the surrounding urban grid, our team applied a diagonal street composition to the master plan, and incorporated a serpentine open space that integrates the existing area with the new village on the east side of campus.
The new village includes 800,000 square feet of office space, a hotel, student housing, and apartments. In addition, the development houses a recreational center and retail and restaurant space. The plan expands Xavier University’s offering to the students, faculty, and the surrounding community, and plays a big part in attracting prospective students and families.
