Our team disrupted the industrial landscape by creating the first multistory warehouse in the United States with first and second-level truck access. Prologis at Georgetown Crossroads in Seattle is expected to help meet increasing demands in the commercial real estate market for industrial manufacturing and distribution space in dense, urban areas.
The first level of the warehouse, located south of Seattle’s central business district, is designed as a double-loaded, last-mile distribution space, while the second level is single-loaded and served by two truck ramps. The third story houses manufacturing and research and development, with three freight elevators, and the entire facility is supported by a detached, three-story parking structure.
As consumer demands for last-mile delivery and e-commerce sales increase, the need for distribution facilities in more dense, urban areas is growing and Prologis Georgetown Crossroads is pioneering this new, innovative multistory warehouse concept.
