Middle Georgia State University Student Housing
Fostering underclassman community with new student housing development
To provide much-needed on-campus housing for underclassmen, Middle Georgia State University (MGA) contracted with NELSON for programming and conceptual design services to create a student housing facility that meets their strategic and master plan goals. The three-story, 310-bed building includes both private and shared two-bedroom, one-bath units. The main intent of the design was to maximize views to the campus lake, provide student life spaces for studying, gathering, and collaboration, and create an exterior that is in keeping with the surrounding buildings and campus palette.
