We were tasked with delivering four separate healthcare facilities for Leon Medical Center in South Florida. Each of our designs help showcase the Leon Medical Centers’ philosophy of providing service excellence and culturally sensitive healthcare services tailored to the needs of the community.
Leon Medical Centers 590 Building
This six-story, 38,000 square-foot office building was retrofitted to accommodate a series of support programs and services. A Healthy Living Center, fitness gym, dental unit, and staff lounges make up the facility, and our designs allow for future expansion and growth with plans for a new MRI unit, Women’s Center, and more.
Leon Medical Centers East Hialeah Center
We partnered with Leon Medical Centers on a 74,000 square-foot clinical support building that houses a diagnostic and treatment facility for patients from the central-western part of the county. The four-story building separates activities by floors allowing for enhanced productivity.
Leon Medical Centers Flagler Center
This four-story outpatient medical center – where healing is the focus of the design – anchors its five-acre site. The ground floor houses the diagnostic, laboratory, and pharmacy areas allowing convenient access for those patients coming for studies or pick-ups. The upper floors offer a central waiting and reception space with the vertical circulation, flanked by four clinical pods, each containing ten exam rooms with treatment, diagnostic, and support areas.
Leon Medical Centers Kendall Center
The goal for the Kendall Center was to create a therapeutic environment centered on relaxation for patients. Waiting areas overlook healing gardens, and materials, color palettes, and artwork themes reinforce elements of nature.
