CGL’s AOR Justice team (now NELSON Worldwide) with CGL’s Planning, Design, Operations, and Maintenance Groups, partnered with the State of Hawaii Department of Public Safety to design a new facility, addressing housing expansion and replace the aging administration building while establishing a new intake, transfer, and release center at the Women’s Community Corrections Center. The goal was to improve corrections in Hawaii by focusing on quality spaces and programs for inmates, staff, and the community. The campus comprises new housing, an intake/visiting building, and a modern administration building, catering to open dorms and cell units with well-lit dayrooms.
