After conducting comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluations of existing Davidson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) facilities, NELSON helped develop an overall Master Plan. The evaluation included security, safety, staff efficiency and effectiveness, functionality, wayfinding, standards compliance and building systems. Once the plan was finalized from several options. NELSON completed the bridging documents and the project was completed with a design/build team. This includes a new 1,000-bed dentention center and medical facilities featuring 20 beds, clinic, infirmary and 60-bed mental health treatment center.
