An elevated VIP gaming experience shaped by the beauty and energy of Niagara Falls
Building on NELSON’s relationship with Mohegan, our interior design team was engaged to reposition a former buffet at Fallsview Casino Resort into Fallsview Privé, a dedicated VIP and high-limit gaming experience overlooking Niagara Falls. The 21,000 SF interior space and 600 SF exterior patio support gaming, food and beverage, private play, and guest amenities while establishing a distinct identity within the larger casino.
The renovation allowed Fallsview Casino Resort to put an existing space to a more valuable use while capitalizing on one of the property’s greatest differentiators: its floor-to-ceiling views of Niagara Falls. NELSON made the surrounding landscape central to the experience. Sweeping architectural forms, custom lighting, layered textures, and a palette inspired by moving water, reflected light, and sunset hues bring the Falls’ energy into the interior.
To create a special arrival moment, NELSON designed an illuminated façade and arches with water-inspired custom wallcovering, producing a portal effect that transports VIP players to an exclusive environment. The entrance corridor aligns with the largest existing stained-glass ceiling dome, transforming an existing feature into a focal point central to the space.
A centrally positioned bar serves as both a social anchor and an organizing element between gaming areas. A separate flexible gaming room, with its own lounge seating and unique design, accommodates private parties, individual high-limit guests, or additional gaming activity, giving the operator flexibility to adapt to different needs and occasions. Dedicated back-of-house circulation routes support the privacy and service expectations of high-limit guests by providing hospitality seamlessly and out of sight.
Fallsview Privé transforms an underutilized space into a differentiated premium offering. By leveraging existing architecture, creating flexibility for multiple guest experiences, and making Niagara Falls an integral part of the design, NELSON helped the client unlock greater value from an existing asset while creating a distinctive experience rooted in the property’s inherent uniqueness.
