NELSON Worldwide is the architect of record for Holy Cross Health’s new Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in Deerfield Beach, a 25,000-square-foot, $41 million facility dedicated to delivering immediate, high-quality emergency care to the community. Designed to reduce wait times and improve health outcomes, this state-of-the-art FSED will provide comprehensive emergency services in a patient-centered environment.

Scheduled for completion in February 2026, the facility will feature advanced diagnostic imaging, including X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scanning, as well as a fully equipped on-site laboratory. It will also include private treatment rooms for enhanced patient comfort, a dedicated ambulance bay to support efficient emergency response, and 24/7 availability for continuous access to care.
