In response to the Georgia Prisoner Reentry Initiative, we were challenged to renovate an existing facility into a Metro Reentry Facility. The goal was to create an environment that could house the activities needed to help participants successfully transition back into society.
The 200,000 square-foot facility features 356 beds, multiple offices, and classroom spaces. The space also houses family environments for participants with children, ADA accessible cells and public areas, and rooms for vocational and educational programs.
This complex is the first in-state facility to offer a comprehensive approach to successful reentry.
